Le r\u00e9alisateur Namir Abdel Messeeh s\u2019est fait conna\u00eetre par la mise en sc\u00e8ne sa vie familiale. Il poursuit ici avec une nouvelle histoire intime et personnelle, qui d\u00e9bute par le d\u00e9c\u00e8s de Siham, sa m\u00e8re. Dans ce film documentaire, il entreprend de la ressusciter \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cran. Namir voyage entre la France et l\u2019Egypte, \u00e0 la recherche de son pass\u00e9. Il d\u00e9couvre des phases de vie qu\u2019on ne lui avait jamais confi\u00e9es, comme le fait que son p\u00e8re avait un lien fort avec le monde du cin\u00e9ma, employ\u00e9 du centre du cin\u00e9ma \u00e9gyptien et que sa m\u00e8re a fait une tentative de suicide lors de l\u2019annulation de ses fian\u00e7ailles au profit d\u2019un lointain cousin qu\u2019elle n\u2019aimait pas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Namir Abdel Messeeh int\u00e8gre \u00e0 sa fiction des extraits de films de Youssef Chahine d\u00e8s qu\u2019il a besoin de donner du relief. A la session des questions r\u00e9ponse apr\u00e8s la projection, il revendique de \u00ab faire du cin\u00e9ma avec le r\u00e9el \u00bb, avec une forte dimension m\u00e9morielle. C\u2019est un film \u00ab qui l\u2019a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver de l\u2019apaisement. Jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pouvoir dire \u00ab je t\u2019aime \u00bb \u00e0 son p\u00e8re avant sa mort, ce qu\u2019il n\u2019avait pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire avec sa m\u00e8re \u00bb. L’\u00e9quipe du film a r\u00e9ussi un bel exercice de montage au service d’une oeuvre personnelle, mais \u00e0 la port\u00e9e universelle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
