1977. Dans un Br\u00e9sil secou\u00e9 par la dictature militaire, Marcelo, un homme d\u2019une quarantaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, d\u00e9barque \u00e0 Recife avec l\u2019espoir de reconstruire sa vie et de renouer avec son jeune fils. Tandis que la ville s\u2019embrase dans l\u2019euphorie du carnaval, Marcelo tente de se faire discret, port\u00e9 par le d\u00e9sir d\u2019un nouveau d\u00e9part. Mais les fant\u00f4mes de son ancienne vie, marqu\u00e9e par des tentatives de corruption, ne tardent pas \u00e0 ressurgir. Les menaces de mort planent sur lui, rappelant \u00e0 Marcelo que l\u2019on n\u2019\u00e9chappe pas si facilement \u00e0 son pass\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L\u2019originalit\u00e9 du film tient beaucoup \u00e0 sa narration non-lin\u00e9aire. Elle d\u00e9sar\u00e7onnera les impatients parce que l\u2019intrigue est d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien avanc\u00e9e avant que les \u00e9l\u00e9ments ne retrouvent leur ordre naturel et les liens manquants soient explicit\u00e9s. L\u2019intensit\u00e9 dramatique change alors de rythme pour terminer en feu d\u2019artifice. Enfin!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
