Le film se passe dans la chaleur d\u2019une r\u00e9gion c\u00f4ti\u00e8re du Br\u00e9sil. Impliqu\u00e9s dans un traffic qui tourne mal, Heraldo et son fr\u00e8re Jorge, \u00e2g\u00e9s de 21 et 25 ans respectivement, sont poursuivis par la cheffe de gang Bambina. Lorsqu\u2019elle parvient \u00e0 faire assassiner Jorge, Heraldo, sans ressources, recherche un endroit discret pour se mettre en retrait. Il se r\u00e9fugie dans un motel de passe, o\u00f9 les clients s\u2019isolent discr\u00e8tement quelques heures ou le temps d\u2019une soir\u00e9e pour leurs \u00e9bats. Le motel est tenu par un g\u00e9rant et sa femme, qui acceptent de le prendre \u00e0 leur service, apr\u00e8s qu\u2019il a montr\u00e9 ses capacit\u00e9s de r\u00e9parateur. \u00c0 tout moment, il court le risque d\u2019\u00eatre d\u00e9couvert par un membre du gang. La situation se complique quand une idylle passionn\u00e9e se d\u00e9veloppe entre Heraldo et la femme du g\u00e9rant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Motel Destino<\/em> se singularise par l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re particuli\u00e8re de huis clos qui r\u00e8gne dans le Motel entre sexe, voyeurisme et violence. Le film n\u2019est particuli\u00e8rement scabreux pour autant. Les chambres sont isol\u00e9es par un couloir technique qui facilite l\u2019entretien et o\u00f9 \u00e9voluent les principaux protagonistes. J\u2019avoue n\u2019avoir pas bien compris ce qui avait s\u00e9duit les s\u00e9lectionneurs de Cannes 2024.
