Paradis, c\u2019est le nom d\u2019un petit village en bordure de d\u00e9sert en Somalie. On y chique le khat pour tuer l\u2019ennui. Mamargade, p\u00e8re veuf, y vit avec son fils Cigaal. Il gagne sa vie de petits emplois de travailleur social, entre transporteur, chauffeur et fossoyeur. Mais les temps sont durs. M\u00eame dans une profession avec un demande de service constante, les artisans fossoyeurs sont en comp\u00e9tition avec les nouvelles pompes fun\u00e8bres qui utilisent des pelleteuses. Mamargade obtient de l’aide de sa s\u0153ur Araweelo, qui vient vivre avec eux. L’\u00e9quilibre du foyer est perturb\u00e9e quand l’\u00e9cole ferme, obligeant le p\u00e8re \u00e0 mettre son fils en pension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La mise en place est un peu lente mais l\u2019intrigue prend ensuite tout charme. Chaque personnage peut composer avec les difficult\u00e9s, saisir les opportunit\u00e9s quand elles se pr\u00e9sentent. C\u2019est le premier film somalien en s\u00e9lection officielle, para\u00eet-il et c\u2019est une reconnaissance m\u00e9rit\u00e9e pour ce film. \u00ab Je n\u2019arrive plus \u00e0 me souvenir de mes r\u00eaves \u00bb, r\u00e9sume le tout jeune et craquant interpr\u00e8te de Cigaal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
