La sc\u00e8ne se passe dans le Nord de l\u2019Inde, pr\u00e8s de la fronti\u00e8re chinoise. Un homme retourne dans son village apr\u00e8s une longue p\u00e9riode d\u2019absence. Ce voyage n\u2019\u00e9tait pas planifi\u00e9. Son fr\u00e8re vient de mourrir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mais l\u2019homme tombe de fatigue et commet un acte manqu\u00e9. Il manque l\u2019enterrement. Il poursuit n\u00e9anmoins son chemin vers la maison familiale. Tout ce qui l\u2019entoure lui semble d\u00e9sormais \u00e9tranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La r\u00e9ussite du film est d\u2019arriver \u00e0 faire ressentir au spectateur l\u2019extr\u00eame solitude du personnage. L\u2019errance du personnage est aggrav\u00e9e par sa perte de rep\u00e8res, \u00e0 commencer par sa difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 ma\u00eetriser la langue, qu\u2019il ne prononce plus avec les bonnes intonations pour se faire comprendre. Son exil l\u2019a rendu\u00a0 \u00e9tranger dans son propre. Le spectateur mise en sc\u00e8ne. \u00ab Je n\u2019avais pas envie de raconter cette histoire de mani\u00e8re traditionnelle \u00bb, revendiquait le metteur en sc\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sent dans la salle lors de la projection.
