\u00c0 la fin de la premi\u00e8re guerre mondiale, la vie devient survie pour Kardine, ouvri\u00e8re dans une fabrique de v\u00eatements. \u00c9vinc\u00e9e de son logement, vraisemblablement veuve de guerre, elle trouve r\u00e9confort dans les bras du directeur de la fabrique, dont elle tombe enceinte. Lorsque son amant renonce \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9pouser, elle redoute de ne pouvoir assumer la charge d\u2019un enfant. Apr\u00e8s une tentative d\u2019avortement infructueuse, elle re\u00e7oit l\u2019aide de Dogman, une entremetteuse qui organise un commerce clandestin d\u2019enfants. Elle lui offre ses services comme nourrice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le film serait inspir\u00e9 d\u2019une d\u2019histoire vraie. La th\u00e9matique donne lieu \u00e0 des sc\u00e8nes fortes. Le noir et blanc est tr\u00e8s esth\u00e9tique. La v\u00e9rit\u00e9 sur les agissements de Dogman est habilement articul\u00e9e avec le d\u00e9veloppement de la relation sp\u00e9ciale entre les deux principales protagonistes. Le tout n’est pas exempte d’imperfections mais reste de tr\u00e8s bonne facture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
