Le film s\u2019ouvre sur une s\u00e9rie d\u2019entretiens d\u2019embauche pour un poste de bonne de luxe, charg\u00e9e d\u2019aider au quotidien Souria, une jeune Saoudienne fortun\u00e9e vivant dans un appartement luxueux du 16\u1d49 arrondissement de Paris. Souria vit en couple avec un prince issu d\u2019un royaume du Moyen-Orient, mais leur relation reste secr\u00e8te, le prince \u00e9tant d\u00e9j\u00e0 mari\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
C\u2019est Laura qui obtient le poste. Avant de s\u2019engager dans l\u2019arm\u00e9e, elle a besoin d\u2019un travail pour percevoir un salaire. Elle va devoir subir les caprices de Souria, voire ses brimades. Malgr\u00e9 leurs diff\u00e9rences, les deux femmes finissent par s\u2019apprivoiser. Une complicit\u00e9 na\u00eet entre elles. Dans cette \u00ab prison dor\u00e9e \u00bb, Laura et Souria tentent chacune d\u2019\u00e9chapper \u00e0 leur condition \u00e0 leur mani\u00e8re, jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement inattendu vienne bouleverser la relation entre ces deux femmes que tout oppose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Rosselet-Ruiz signe l\u00e0 une proposition originale ; elle-m\u00eame se disait tr\u00e8s surprise d\u2019\u00eatre \u00e0 Cannes en introduction \u00e0 la projection. Je pourrais l\u2019\u00eatre tout autant : je n\u2019ai pas \u00e9t\u00e9 enthousiasm\u00e9. La mise en sc\u00e8ne a peut-\u00eatre manqu\u00e9 d’audace. Malgr\u00e9 un dispositif narratif prometteur, j’ai trouv\u00e9 que le film restait en de\u00e7a de son potentiel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
