Situ\u00e9 en 1915 dans les \u00eeles Scilly, au large des c\u00f4tes de Cornouailles, le film suit Lucy, une jeune fille \u00e9lev\u00e9e par un clan de p\u00eacheurs dont elle sait qu\u2019ils ne sont pas sa vraie famille. Elle ne se souvient presque de rien de son pass\u00e9<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lucy voit et parle \u00e0 des fant\u00f4mes que personne d\u2019autre ne peut percevoir. \u00c0 cause de ce don, elle est isol\u00e9e et exclue de l\u2019\u00e9cole, qui la consid\u00e8re comme d\u00e9rang\u00e9e. Les autres enfants la traitent de sorci\u00e8re, et le village lui attribue tous les malheurs et catastrophes qui surviennent. Lorsqu\u2019une photo retrouv\u00e9e par sa famille laisse entendre qu\u2019elle serait la fille d\u2019un ennemi allemand, la m\u00e9fiance et l\u2019hostilit\u00e9 des villageois redoublent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lucy trouve du r\u00e9confort dans ses conversations avec le fant\u00f4me de Milly, une petite fille qui vivrait aux \u00c9tats-Unis et qui semble partager avec elle de nombreux points communs et des bribes d\u2019histoire commune. Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019affection de sa famille adoptive, Lucy se sent \u00e9trang\u00e8re parmi les siens. Ses dons extraordinaires et son \u00e9trange chevelure blanche attisent la peur et le rejet des habitants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Film fran\u00e7ais r\u00e9alis\u00e9 dans un style d\u2019animation inspir\u00e9 du manga japonais, le dessin \u00e9voque l\u2019univers de Miyazaki : sans le m\u00eame symbolisme, mais avec une po\u00e9sie similaire, port\u00e9e par un imaginaire profond\u00e9ment europ\u00e9en qui sert de cadre au r\u00e9cit. Original et divert<\/p>\n\n\n\n
issant, le film d\u00e9ploie une belle \u00e9nergie cr\u00e9atrice et s\u2019adresse \u00e0 un large public, des enfants aux adultes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
