Jessie est une adolescente lumineuse et pleine d\u2019\u00e9nergie, dont les pr\u00e9occupations semblent encore l\u00e9g\u00e8res : partager sa chambre avec sa petite s\u0153ur Melli, profiter de ses journ\u00e9es avec Lux, le gar\u00e7on qu\u2019elle aime, et avec qui elle entretient une relation tendre et fusionnelle. Leur complicit\u00e9 para\u00eet in\u00e9branlable, malgr\u00e9 le quotidien parfois chaotique d\u2019Ella, leur m\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mais un accident tragique vient brutalement rompre cet \u00e9quilibre fragile. L\u2019absence de Jessie fait \u00e9clater les rep\u00e8res de chacun et plonge la famille dans un long et douloureux travail de deuil. Entre culpabilit\u00e9, incompr\u00e9hension et col\u00e8re, chacun tente de survivre \u00e0 la disparition, tandis qu\u2019Ella d\u00e9cide d\u2019emmener ses proches \u00e0 Tenerife dans l\u2019espoir de retrouver une forme d\u2019apaisement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Myst\u00e9rieusement, la disparue semble continuer \u00e0 se manifester aupr\u00e8s de ceux qu\u2019elle aimait, \u00e0 travers des signes et des pr\u00e9sences diffuses qui brouillent la fronti\u00e8re entre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 et souvenir. La r\u00e9alisatrice choisit alors une approche tr\u00e8s symbolique, parfois \u00e9nigmatique, dont toutes les m\u00e9taphores ne sont pas imm\u00e9diatement accessibles. Pourtant, le film laisse une impression durable gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 plusieurs trouvailles de mise en sc\u00e8ne po\u00e9tiques qui ne m\u2019ont pas laiss\u00e9 insensible, traitant avec d\u00e9licatesse de la persistance du manque et des liens familiaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
