Apr\u00e8s plusieurs ann\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tudes en Europe, Elsa revient au Costa Rica et retrouve une maison familiale \u00e9trange et d\u00e9sunie. Sa m\u00e8re Isabel consacre tout son temps \u00e0 la r\u00e9\u00e9dition des po\u00e8mes \u00e9rotiques de sa jeunesse, tandis que le p\u00e8re, absorb\u00e9 par ses nouvelles conqu\u00eates, reste largement absent. Dans cette atmosph\u00e8re flottante, Amalia, la plus jeune s\u0153ur, vit aupr\u00e8s de Dora, leur nourrice malade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le retour d\u2019Elsa lib\u00e8re sert de fertilisant \u00e0 une reprise de contacts et de dialogues entre les membres de la cette famille \u00e9clat\u00e9e devenue indiff\u00e9rents les uns pour les autres. C\u2019est sans doute le mal-\u00eatre d\u2019Amalia qui suscite le plus d\u2019inqui\u00e9tude, enferm\u00e9e dans des croyances de fant\u00f4mes et de connexion suppos\u00e9e avec l\u2019au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le film laisse planer l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019un pass\u00e9 familial trouble, peut-\u00eatre li\u00e9 \u00e0 certains d\u00e9sirs coupables du p\u00e8re, sans jamais rien expliciter clairement. La narration, volontairement d\u00e9routante, tourne autour de ses sujets sans les aborder de front. On attend peu \u00e0 peu un \u00e9claircissement ou un v\u00e9ritable d\u00e9nouement, qui finit pourtant par ne jamais vraiment arriver. Au bilan, j’en garde une impression assez frustrante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
