En 1944, en Espagne, la guerre touche \u00e0 sa fin. Franco installe un r\u00e9gime dictatorial qui organise la torture, l\u2019emprisonnement parfois l\u2019\u00e9limination de ses adversaires de gauche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of\u00e9lia, la jeune fille de Carmen, peine \u00e0 s\u2019adapter \u00e0 sa nouvelle vie apr\u00e8s le remariage de sa m\u00e8re avec Vidal, un capitaine franquiste charg\u00e9 de r\u00e9primer les opposants politiques. Un jour, elle d\u00e9couvre un labyrinthe myst\u00e9rieux pr\u00e8s de la grande maison familiale. Pan, une cr\u00e9ature \u00e0 cornes \u00e0 la fois magique et d\u00e9moniaque, lui confit qu\u2019elle est la princesse disparue d\u2019un royaume enchant\u00e9 et qui aurait perdu la m\u00e9moire de son pass\u00e9. Pour retrouver son rang, Of\u00e9lia devra relever trois \u00e9preuves, pour lesquelles elle n\u2019est absolument pas pr\u00e9par\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La noirceur du r\u00e9cit fantastique r\u00e9pond par rebonds successifs \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du conflit entre les franquistes et l\u2019opposition communiste dans une intrication superbement orchestr\u00e9e par le r\u00e9alisateur.\u00a0Les cr\u00e9atures magiques sont mues par des effets sp\u00e9ciaux spectaculaires. Le Labyrinthe de Pan<\/em> avait \u00e9mu la Croisette en 2006 lors de sa premi\u00e8re projection. J\u2019ai pris le m\u00eame plaisir \u00e0 revoir cette version restaur\u00e9e et num\u00e9ris\u00e9e, dont la finition n\u2019a rien \u00e0 envier aux \u0153uvres cin\u00e9matographiques de 2026, malgr\u00e9 beaucoup moins de b\u00e9quilles num\u00e9riques.\u00a0 Pour la projection, le r\u00e9alisateur nous a fait l’honneur de sa pr\u00e9sence, dans le Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Debussy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
